Fla. commercial crew activity heats up

Leaders of Sierra Nevada, SpaceX and Boeing say they expect ramped-up activity in Brevard County, Fla., this year, as they compete to become the commercial crew program provider for NASA. Sierra Nevada is planning to create a locally staffed office, SpaceX is working on launch test plans and Boeing will begin assembling part of its CST-100 capsule for testing at the Kennedy Space Center's former shuttle hangar.
