Guidelines aim to reduce growing menace of ocean cacophony

Ocean noise, most of it produced by humankind, is doubling every 10 years, a fact that may be harming sea life. Now there's an international effort to expand the stealth technologies long employed by navies to include commercial ships and reduce their sound imprint.
