Insurer agrees to cover CardioNet's heart monitoring tech

UnitedHealthcare has agreed to provide coverage over three years for CardioNet's heart arrhythmia monitoring technology, including the company's Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry device. The wireless device, which is as small as a cellphone and worn under a patient's shirt, allows clinicians to diagnose and monitor abnormal heart rhythms remotely.
