Report: China's yacht business set to boom

China's yacht industry is slated to grow to $8.16 billion by 2020 as the number of luxury vessels grows to 100,000 from last year's count of about 3,000, according to the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association. "I think that in the near future, boating will become a new lifestyle for mainland residents, who prefer self-driving, just like it happened in Hong Kong," said Lars Petersen, general manager of yacht dealer Jebsen Marine.
