Students propose liquefied methane for jet fuel

Five student teams advanced in a contest sponsored by Airbus for ideas for airlines of the future. One team from Australia proposed using liquefied methane to fly aircraft. "Our future solutions are here right now -- and through projects like 'Fly Your Ideas,' we are helping them to become a reality for the future," said Charles Champion, executive vice president for engineering at Airbus.
