Emily Merola, the primary reptile keeper at Utah's Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, shares insights into the animals she tends, including tortoises, snakes and lizards. The job is challenging because some of the animals are venomous and it can be difficult to predict their behavior. "You have to work with reptiles to really appreciate the grand scale of them," Merola said. "... They are the most laid-back animals you could ever work with, and the most difficult."
