Anti-homelessness initiative hits 100,000 goal

A campaign begun in 2010 that has brought federal, state, local, private and nonprofit groups together to provide permanent housing to 100,000 chronically homeless individuals in 238 communities nationwide has reached its target. The 100,000 Homes Campaign, organized by Community Solutions, a New York nonprofit group, achieved its goal a month ahead of schedule.
