Iceland’s airport aims to transform into to global stopover

Executives at Keflavik International Airport hope recent renovations, new restaurants and stores and a welcoming atmosphere help transform the airport into a destination airport. Recent improvements highlight the country’s unique culture, food and landscape. "We used to want the airport to have a global feel. Now we want to change the theme of the airport so it reminds people of downtown Reykjavik," Deputy Terminal Director Gudmundur Dadi Runarsson said.
