Device improves speed, comprehension for poor readers

Some South Florida districts are using an infrared Visagraph device and special software that analyzes eye movements and creates customized lesson plans that boost struggling readers' ability to track words. Although the Reading Plus program doesn't address higher-order thinking or information retention, it has helped some students read faster and improved their comprehension.
