Study overturns common beliefs on human DNA

International teams studying human DNA say genetics encompasses more than genes alone and that "junk" DNA may actually contain important information. One scientist says the discovery helps explain why humans became complex creatures with just four letters of code repeating over and over. The findings could also speed disease research and may lead scientists to investigate potential errors in the DNA between genes, rather than within genes.
