Clearwire sets bar high for new 4G venture

Clearwire CEO Benjamin Wolf is predicting that the 4G wireless-broadband startup would grow rapidly over the next two years, reaching 4.6 million customers by 2010 and bringing in $17.5 billion in sales by 2017. Wolf outlined those expectations Thursday in a meeting with investors, the first time he has done so since Clearwire agreed to team up with Sprint Nextel on the WiMAX-powered venture last month.
