Government hires firm to evaluate medical identity theft

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology has hired Booz Allen Hamilton for $450,000 to look into the intersection of technology and identity theft in the health care field. ONCHIT said the efforts are needed to build consumer confidence in e-health initiatives.
