Study finds rheumatic patients deficient in vitamin D

A study by Ireland-based researchers shows 70% of new patients seen at a rheumatology clinic had low levels of vitamin D, with 26% having severe deficiencies. Patients had a range of conditions, including arthritis, rheumatism, osteoporosis and inflammatory joint diseases.
