Compounds producer guns for DuPont's elastomer market share

Ohio-based Excel Polymers has introduced a product line of compounds to replace DuPont's Performance Elastomers after the U.S. chemical major decided to end the production of its Hypalon chlorosulfinated polyethylenes line. Excel said its offering improves on DuPont's Hypalon in some performance measures, such as color stability and resistance to flame. Excel already sells samples of the compounds to the North American, Chinese and Indian markets.
