Asia is ripe with substation automation opportunities

The market for substation automation technologies will break $106 billion by 2015 as countries seek to modernize their electrical grids, according to a report from SBI Energy. The bulk of the growth will be in Asia, which has the most adaptable substations, while the U.S. will see a gradual decrease in substation recording and monitoring technologies after a peak in 2016, the report says.
