DOT gives final approval for Delta's alliance with Virgin Australia

The Department of Transportation has given Delta Air Lines and Virgin Australia Airlines antitrust immunity for their trans-Pacific alliance. In May, DOT provided interim approval. "This final ruling by the DOT will expand competition and enhance customer service and travel options for passengers flying between the U.S. and Australia," said Richard Anderson, CEO of Delta.
