USGBC lawsuit highlights "transformation" in the building industry

A lawsuit against the U.S. Green Building Council, which runs the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program, has brought to the fore issues about energy performance in LEED-certified buildings and whether LEED is best standard for sustainable building design. Debate has ensued, standards are being rewritten and interest in sustainability has increased. "Regardless of any contentious issues, the transformation of the building sector is under way," says Edward Mazria, founder of Architecture 2030.
