Weight-loss surgery doesn't halt eating disorders, experts say

Many overweight people have an unhealthy relationship with food, often through binge eating, but experts warn that for some people, weight-loss surgery could lead to a different type of eating disorder, such as bulimia or anorexia. Lisa Lilenfeld of the Eating Disorders Coalition at Argosy University said that a lap band or gastric bypass will not create an eating disorder, but that people who already struggle with one will continue to have problems post-procedure.
