Facebook to offer a real-time ad-targeting platform

Facebook is set to roll out an ad-targeting platform that would deliver desktop-only display ads on the social network based on other sites previously visited by a user. The Facebook Exchange can be bid in real time. Google and Yahoo! already offer such targeting options to ad buyers, but Facebook touts the scale of ad buys the social network can provide.
