BoE official indicates QE will continue awhile

Quantitative easing should continue in the UK, even as the US contemplates tapering the programme, says Paul Fisher, the Bank of England's head of markets. "At the moment, the macroeconomic outlook here is not as bright as in the US; therefore, we are some way behind them in terms of return to anything like trend growth, and so the question [of exiting monetary stimulus] will come to us a bit later," he said.
