DOD lacks clear plan for Marine Corps realignment, GAO says

The Pentagon has done a poor job of planning the realignment of Marine Corps forces in the Pacific region, according to a report from the Government Accountability Office. No master plan exists for the shift, and the projected $12.1 billion in costs does not account for many likely expenses, the report finds.
