House legislation would boost access to healthy food

A bill introduced by Rep. Allyson Schwartz, D-Pa., would allocate $125 million to improve access to healthful food in underserved neighborhoods through the Healthy Food Financing Initiative. "As we continue to reinvigorate our economy, this public-private partnership will create good-paying jobs, help people live longer and healthier lives, and strengthen our neighborhoods," she said.
