Hudson's Bay sees success from 5-year-old turnaround strategy

Hudson's Bay reported a 7.6% rise in same-store sales in the first quarter, evidence that a turnaround strategy launched in 2008 when real estate magnate Richard Baker acquired the company is working, analysts say. Baker's plan focused on apparel, shoes and bags; took the brand more upscale; and partnered with international brands including UK-based Topshop.
