Fall-protection complaints mount in Pa. county after hailstorm

A recent hailstorm in Berks County, Pa., has led to a spike in roofing work, as well as an increase in worker complaints about contractors' lack of fall protection at job sites. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has received 12 complaints and plans to inspect sites for violations, according to this article. Fall protection should include "hard hats, ropes on the roof, and harnesses attached to those ropes," said Bob Riddle, a salesman at Storm Doctor.
