Minn.'s $1.68B light-rail project may stall if deadline isn't met

Minnesota's $1.68 billion planned Southwest Corridor light-rail project has been delayed by almost a year, and another delay could occur if Minneapolis doesn't hold a public hearing by July 14. Other cities along the planned route have held their hearings and are ready to vote on the project. Meanwhile, advocates want officials to move forward on the project. "We got to figure out a way to get it done," said Dan McConnell of the trade council.
