Georgia Schools May Make Stanford 9 Test Optional

Over concerns that students are losing too many days of instruction to standardized testing, the state Board of Education yesterday moved to make the annual Stanford 9 test optional, a report says. Moreover, schools are not to be limited to the Stanford 9 -- they can pick any norm-referenced test. The resolution is pending the state legislature's approval.
