Small businesses drowning in liability insurance costs

Liability insurance premiums were ranked as the second-biggest problem facing small businesses, up from being 13th on the list four years ago, a recent survey by the National Federation of Business reported. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce said premium amounts total about $88 billion a year, and the rise has started the push for legislation to move large class-action lawsuits to federal court.
