Insurers not yet paying for diabetes monitors

Insurers are not yet providing coverage for new continuous glucose monitoring systems for diabetes patients, and the cost of DexCom's monitors is preventing some patients from using them, doctors say. "While we continue to believe reimbursement will be secured for CGM devices, our checks clearly suggest that broad coverage will take longer than we had initially anticipated," one analyst said.
