Katrina students trail on Texas exams

Displaced Hurricane Katrina students in North Texas scored about half as well as Texas peers on the state exam this spring, according to data from several local districts and the state. A Dallas district official says schools have been providing counseling, as well as tutoring around the clock, to displaced students.
