Luxury retailers improve sourcing of goods, raw materials

Luxury retailers around the world are tackling the economic downturn by finding new ways to source goods and raw materials. For example, Hermes, the luxury group in France, is breeding crocodiles for its leather bags. Luxury designer Jonathan Adler is purchasing raw materials, such as pottery and textiles, from Vietnam, India and Peru.
