Obama proposal cuts $313B in health care costs

President Barack Obama hopes to save an additional $313 billion in government health care spending over a decade with proposals that include more gradually boosting payments to hospitals, medical-device firms and other service providers that cater to Medicare patients. The administration said it could save $110 billion over 10 years by adjusting the payment formula for the providers.
