While teachers and students overall say they like having interactive whiteboards in the classroom, that does not mean they improve teaching and learning, according to Daniel Willingham, a University of Virginia psychology professor and author of "Why Don't Students Like School?" In this blog post, he writes that districts are spending money on the technology without providing necessary professional development for teachers on how to use it effectively.
