Mass. casino-licensing fees to fall short of previous potential

Massachusetts decided against expanding gaming three years ago and now may take in less revenue if casinos are authorized this year. "Massachusetts missed the boat if it expected huge licensing fees," said Roger Gros, publisher of Casino Connection and Global Gaming Business. Licensing fees for three casinos in the Bay State may now run $300 million, compared with the $600 million to $800 million forecast three years ago.
