Newsweek: Dallas gifted school is tops among U.S. high schools

Dallas' School for the Talented and Gifted was named the best U.S. high school, its third No. 1 finish in four years, in annual rankings by Newsweek magazine. The rankings are based on the number of Advanced Placement or other college-level exams given, divided by the number of graduating seniors -- without taking into account student scores -- a formula which some critics say is limited and misleading.
