Now is a good time to re-enter the REIT market, investment advisers say -- especially if the investor has a long-term investment horizon. REITs have delivered balance sheets and offer a way to ride the property markets to recovery. "Most of the REITs right now are pretty well structured from a balance sheet position," says Jack Foster, managing director and head of real estate at Franklin Templeton Real Estate Advisors. "The public property companies don't have any big problems because they know where their debt maturities are."
