U.S. ramps up Gulf seafood inspections

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Food and Drug Administration are increasing inspections of seafood from the Gulf of Mexico to make sure tainted products do not reach consumers after the recent oil spill. The agencies are also working to establish a protocol for opening fishing areas that have been shut down because of potential contamination.
