Fish-oil acids help address insulin resistance, obesity in mice

A study in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry found that mice fed a diet rich in marine-derived long-chain monounsaturated fatty acids had improvements on blood plasma glucose, insulin and lipid concentration levels. The findings suggest that MUFAs from fish oils may help address insulin resistance and obesity-related inflammation, experts said.
