Medtronic gets CE mark for spinal surgery device

Medtronic has obtained CE mark approval to market its ReDuX Plier system in Europe. The device is designed to help orthopedic doctors perform pedicle substraction osteotomies, or procedures done to correct spinal deformities, in a way that does not damage the vertebrae. The device has yet to obtain marketing approval in the U.S.
