Tenn. district to continue serving meals over the summer

Jon Dickl, director of school nutrition for Knox County Schools in Tennessee, recently worked with Janey Thornton, deputy under secretary of food, nutrition and consumer services for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, to publicize the district's summer-meal program. The district is hoping to increase the number of healthy meals served for free to students this summer, with officials noting that many students who rely on school meals are at risk of going hungry during the summer.
