Tool assesses pneumonia patients' risk of having MRSA

Researchers developed a model to identify hospital patients with pneumonia who are not likely to have methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. The researchers used factors independently linked to MRSA from logistic regression based on data for admissions at 62 hospitals from 2005 to 2009. The study was published in the journal BMC Infectious Diseases.
