Detroit union wants pay raise for top-tier teachers

The Detroit teachers union is pushing for a 15.6% pay raise next year for teachers who have a master's degree and at least nine years of experience. Their demands could usher in another contract fight for the cash-strapped district, which has been losing 10,000 students a year.
