AAP: Physicians should take active role to prevent violence

The AAP says physicians should be more active in preventing bullying and youth violence in clinical practice, advocacy, research and education for parents and families. The updated AAP policy calls for doctors to talk to parents about bullying in schools and teaching children conflict resolution skills and how to promote respectful dating relationships.
