Canadian developer pushes builders to use steel

Canadian developer Frank Jamali is touting the benefits of a pre-fabricated, galvanized steel framing system. His company holds the U.S. and Canadian patents for the steel system, which he says has the potential to last for hundreds of years with little maintenance. Pieces are shipped to a job site, pre-cut and ready to assemble, Jamali said. He also noted that the steel frame buildings are faster to assemble than wood construction.
