Construction could start early on Florida connector, bring jobs

The federal stimulus package could allow construction on the $628.3 million Interstate 4-Selmon Expressway Connector near Tampa to start three years ahead of schedule. State officials originally thought the project would be pushed back to 2013, but they have found a way to use stimulus funds to help pay for it. The project could also create 14,000 construction jobs.
