Full-day learning plan for young students announced in Ontario

Ontario's early-learning adviser, Charles Pascal, has a plan that would transform some schools into year-round hubs with classes and day care, offering full-day programmes for 4- and 5-year-olds. Pascal said the change is intended to boost student readiness in Ontario, where about one-fourth of students enter Year 1 lagging behind their peers.
