Gifted teen to begin doctoral studies this fall

Andrea Kulier, 17, graduated Saturday with bachelor's degrees in math and physics and plans to begin a Princeton University doctoral program in theoretical cosmology this fall. Kulier, whose family immigrated to the U.S. from Croatia 13 years ago, attended her school's gifted-education program until she began a special program for gifted students at California State University, Los Angeles.
