Groups reach deal on calorie counts

Lawmakers, the restaurant industry and consumer advocates have reached a deal on legislation that would require posting calorie counts on menus at chain restaurants with 20 or more locations. The legislation "will not only help consumers to make informed decisions about their health when eating out, but is a critical part of a broader reorientation to a society of prevention and health promotion," Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
