Passengers pay scant attention to safety, NTSB hearings show

Last week's public hearings into the landing of US Airways Flight 1549 were largely positive regarding the plane and its crew, but passengers got a mixed scorecard. Passengers admitted to ignoring the safety briefing, failing to read the safety card and failing to take their life vests with them when exiting the plane. Some also said they did not know how to execute a proper brace position when instructed by the crew.
