Verizon Wireless offers parents tools for controlling phone use

Parents who worry about how much their children are using their cell phones might look into Verizon Wireless' new Usage Controls, a set of tools that allows adults to set limits on the number of text messages their children can send and the type of content they can download and view. Verizon Wireless pointed to other features: the ability for parents to monitor extra charges they might be billed for; set usage controls by time of day; and track to see how others on similar plans are using their minutes.
