Eating brown rice may help reduce the risk of Type 2 diabetes

A study indicates that eating brown rice and other whole grains instead of white rice can reduce a person's risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Researchers found that people who ate five servings or more of white rice per week were 1.17 times more likely to develop the disease, compared with those who ate white rice less than once per month.
